Submit Your Art to Our 2026 Calendar Today! |
Let your creative side run wild -- we're looking for artists to show their true colors and submit their works for our 2026 calendar!
We're hosting an open call for artists to submit pieces that examine the fluidity, multiplicity, and self-definition of gender within Hindu narratives, particularly in ways that challenge caste-imposed constrains on identity and purity.
The calendar reinterprets the Hindu deity-per-month model through the theme "Embodiments of Gender", exploring how divinity, identity, and justice intersect across time and tradition. Each month, a deity serves as an anchor for this exploration, illuminating how gender, caste, and communal belonging not only shape the sacred and the social but are also continually resisted, reshaped and reinterpreted – challenging hierarchies and reclaiming space within the spiritual and cultural imagination.

Hindus for Human Rights is proud to be a part of a coalition of faith groups that have signed onto a letter urging religious groups to show their support for LGBTQ+ communities ahead of Pride Month. In the context of the Trump administration's consistent attacks on LGBTQ+ communities, it is now more urgent than ever to stand up and express solidarity with our queer brothers and sisters. |

When Grief Defies Hate: The Courage of Himanshi Narwal
Amongst the many tragedies to occur during the Pahalgam attack, Himanshi Narwal was widowed when her husband, Indian Army Lieutenant Vinay Narwal, was killed. But amidst the sorrow and the pain, something rare happened—something powerful. Himanshi turned her pain until a call for unity: "People going against Muslims or Kashmiris, we don't want this. We want peace, and only peace." Since then, Himanshi has been met with relentless trolling online. But why? Our new blog post unpacks this and more.
