EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Sunita has over 30 years of experience in women’s rights and human rights organizations, including experience founding and running several non-profits. Her identity as a progressive Hindu who believes in the power of interfaith spaces for building human rights movements has led her to be a changemaker across the board — from being a powerful voice in everything from protests to keynote panels. Sunita is available to speak about a Hindu, faith-based perspective on justice, Hindu resistance to Hindutva, Hindu participation in interfaith dialogue, and how to build a strong anti-caste Hinduism, as well as offer progressive-minded prayers and pravachans.

DEPUTY EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Sravya Tadepalli has over a decade of advocacy experience in the Hindu American community. She is available to speak about Hinduism, Hindu liberation theology, Hindu nationalism, and public policy issues affecting Hindus and South Asian Americans in the United States.

SENIOR POLICY DIRECTOR

As our Senior Policy Director, Ria has a complete understanding of the complex and intertwined relationships between the United States and South Asian countries. She’s spoken at several congressional briefings and the Tom Lantos Human Rights Commission, and has a keen understanding of DC’s relationship with the South Asian diaspora. Ria is available for speaking engagements on US policy towards South Asia, human rights and democratic freedoms in South Asia, political violence, transnational repression, the politics of Hindu Americans, and how media and politics interact.

UK ORGANIZER

Rajiv’s work over the last two and a half years has focused on Hindutva, interfaith relations, and campaign efforts against extremist lobbying in the Asian diaspora and wider British society. He is available for speaking engagements across the United Kingdom on any of these topics, as well as for workshops on organizing against the far right. Rajiv’s expertise lies in building up community security and grassroots self-provision. 

NEW YORK CITY ORGANIZER

Vrinda is available to speak on the intersection of race and pop culture (especially music), diasporic identity formation, journalism and issues facing journalists today, issues facing South Asian American communities in the US, Hindu nationalism, inter-faith issues and activism on the South Asian subcontinent and in the diaspora, and union organizing / organizing your workplace.

CAMPAIGNS & PRESS RELATIONS MANAGER

Faria’s career has spanned women’s rights, criminal justice, and mental health before joining the HfHR Communications team. Faria is available to speak on the fight against Hindu nationalism from a Muslim-American perspective, the intersection between fighting fascism and amplifying women’s rights, the impact of the carceral system on minority women, the importance of Hindu-Muslim interfaith community building, communications strategies for non-profits, and strategies for healing and addressing trauma in minority communities.

OPERATIONS & EVENTS MANAGER

Thrisha Mohan works at the intersection of media, culture, and faith-based activism. Her work primarily focuses on South Asian literature and cultural production, Hindu nationalism and its global implications, and the evolving landscape of South Asian political and interfaith activism. She explores how stories (books, art, media) shape public understanding of faith and identity. Thrisha also speaks on progressive Hindu practices that center liberation, equality, and pluralism, challenging dominant nationalist narratives. In addition to her cultural and advocacy work, she brings expertise in nonprofit financial and operational management, offering insights on building sustainable, values-driven organizations. 

Vivek is available to speak on American electoral politics, the American criminal legal system, as well as inter-faith organizing organizing against Hindutva and for other social justice issues in the U.S. Prior to joining HfHR, he worked as a public defender, and also spent many years working on electoral campaigns at every level.
