Join the Human Rights Program at Roosevelt House, in collaboration with Hindus for Human Rights, for a screening of Satluj (2026), followed by a discussion with director Honey Trehan.
Starring Diljit Dosanjh, this biographical drama follows Sikh human rights activist Jaswant Singh Khalra’s investigation into extrajudicial killings and disappearances in Punjab during the 1980s and 1990s.
Khalra’s pursuit of truth raises urgent questions about state violence, accountability and the courage it takes to challenge impunity. For HfHR, keeping these histories visible is part of building solidarity across religious communities.
