On Mahatma Gandhi’s 157th birth anniversary, Hindus for Human Rights invites you to a special online conversation exploring Gandhi’s legacy and its continuing relevance to movements for democracy, nonviolence, equality, and social change.

The program will feature:

Dr. Clayborne Carson
Martin Luther King Jr. Centennial Professor Emeritus at Stanford University and longtime scholar of the Black freedom struggle and Gandhian nonviolence.

Dr. Siby K. Joseph
Director of the Jamnalal Bajaj Memorial Library and programs at Sevagram, Gandhi’s final ashram in India.

Dr. Veena Howard
Professor of Asian Religions at CSU Fresno, Endowed Chair in Jain and Hindu Dharma, and Director of the M.K. Gandhi Center.

Dr. Michael W. Sonnleitner
Educator, scholar of Gandhi and Martin Luther King Jr., satyagrahi, and member of Hindus for Human Rights.

The evening will also feature opening remarks from Yogendra Yadav.
