Join NewFest for the New York premiere of Elephants in the Fog, the acclaimed debut feature from Nepali filmmaker Abinash Bikram Shah.

Set in rural Nepal, the film follows Pirati, the matriarch of a Kinnar household, as she navigates love, responsibility, chosen family, and the disappearance of one of her daughters. The film centers a third-gender community whose lives are shaped by both spiritual reverence and social marginalization. NewFest
