Dec 6th is a ‘Day of Infamy’ for Indian democracy - the day when the Babri Masjid was demolished by Hindu nationalists. In dismissing all the cases against the guilty and handing over the land to Hindus, the Supreme Court has set a dangerous precedent. It has emboldened them to target ancient mosques in Kashi and Mathura next. Will the court uphold the Constitution this time?

On August 10, 2021, several student activists and civil society members gathered near Jantar Mantar in Delhi to peacefully protest against the alleged inflammatory sloganeering at a rally by leaders including BJP's Ashwini Upadhyay who was soon released on bail. At this peaceful protest, more than hundred protesters were detained by police.
