Editor's Note: Hindus for Human Rights is republishing the following press release from the India Palestine Solidarity Forum (IPSF). The statement responds to the findings of the recent UN Independent International Commission of Inquiry, chaired by Justice S. Muralidhar, concerning alleged genocide, war crimes, and crimes against humanity committed against Palestinian children in Gaza.
NEW DELHI – The India Palestine Solidarity Forum (IPSF) issues an urgent, unequivocal call to the Government of India, the Indian Parliament, and the international community to decisively condemn the State of Israel and its Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu. The recently released 100-page specialized report by the UN Independent International Commission of Inquiry—chaired by former Indian High Court Chief Justice Srinivasan Muralidhar—has confirmed beyond any shred of doubt that Israeli authorities and security forces are guilty of genocide, war crimes, and crimes against humanity targeting the children of Palestine.
The catastrophic figures uncovered by Justice Muralidhar’s commission merely reconfirm what the global conscience has witnessed for years. The report documents an unprecedented toll inflicted upon the most vulnerable: between October 7, 2023, and October 7, 2025, at least 20,179 Palestinian children were killed and 44,143 were injured. Minors accounted for nearly 30% of all conflict-related deaths. Among the dead are 5,031 children under five years old, including 1,029 infants and 420 newborns, while an additional 5,160 children remain missing beneath the rubble.
Gaza: Palestinian children terrified and tramatised by Israeli bombing and killing of their loved ones.
The UN inquiry exposes a chilling reality: this is not collateral damage, but a calculated strategy to systematically eliminate the future of Palestine. The report highlights the use of precision tools—including quadcopter drones and sniper rifles—to target children with single-shot wounds to the head and neck. Beyond physical slaughter, the commission details the wholesale destruction of the infrastructure of childhood, revealing that 97% of all schools in Gaza have been destroyed, alongside universities, orphanages, and critical neonatal health centres. The commission explicitly concludes that these actions are part of a deliberate strategy to destroy the biological continuity and future existence of the Palestinian people.
In light of these indisputable findings, the IPSF demands immediate political accountability within India. We call upon the Modi government to pass a formal resolution in the forthcoming session of Parliament categorically condemning Israel and Prime Minister Netanyahu for this proven genocide.
Furthermore, the Forum strongly condemns Prime Minister Modi’s recent remarks during his state visit to Israel just days prior to the outbreak of the Israel-US war on Iran, wherein he bizarrely referred to Israel as the "Fatherland" and India as the "Motherland." This dangerous alignment and reaffirmation of commitment to an apartheid state is a total betrayal of the foundational values of the Indian freedom movement. India has historically led the global south in supporting anti-colonial liberation struggles, sovereignty, and the Palestinian freedom movement. PM Modi and the entire Indian Parliament must rectify this stance, condemn Netanyahu, and demand his immediate arrest and trial at the International Criminal Court (ICC).
On the global stage, the IPSF calls upon UN Secretary-General António Guterres to immediately convene a special session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA) to formally condemn the genocide and demand the arrest of Netanyahu, his political cabinet, and the IOF Generals and soldiers responsible for these atrocities.
We further demand that the five permanent members of the UN Security Council (UNSC)—the US, China, Russia, the UK, and France—immediately convene a session to penalize Israel and enforce arrest warrants against its leadership. This moment stands as a defining test for Western powers that routinely preach the "rules-based international order" and liberal democracy.
The bloodshed of tens of thousands of children cannot be ignored. The time for diplomatic ambiguity is over.
