Ram Das Calls for Investigation Into Ram Mandir Donation Misappropriation Allegations

The kind of reports that are coming out regarding the temple of Maryada Purushottam Lord Shri Ram are extremely sad and highly condemnable. Lord Shri Ram is known for righteousness, propriety, and a spirit of service. In this temple, millions of devotees make donations and contribute. Even if a small child donates just ₹10, he puts it into the donation box with faith and devotion. Therefore, if there has been any misappropriation of donation money, it is very unfortunate and should be investigated.

The Prime Minister has also taken cognizance of the matter and ordered an inquiry. There should definitely be an investigation, and the truth should be made clear. There is widespread discussion among devotees about whether a theft actually took place or not.

Just yesterday, a video of a gentleman who was in charge there surfaced. It is being said that he was responsible for the arrangements and he clarified that bundles of cash used to be stacked in a particular manner, with 12 bundles being placed together. Similar revelations have emerged in the past as well, and these matters have been reported in all the local newspapers.

This atmosphere of confusion must be removed. We also wish to state that local saints were not included in the trust earlier. Had local saints been part of it, at least these matters would have been clarified by now. The Nirmohi Akhara has always been a stakeholder and has consistently fought for this cause, yet it was not included. Even local saint Mahant Shri Nritya Gopal Das Ji Maharaj was included in the trust only after repeated requests from the saints.

Maharaj Ji may not have detailed knowledge of these matters, but if he becomes aware of them, he will certainly ensure that the guilty are punished. We therefore demand that a proper investigation be conducted into this matter.
